Turkey is the world's largest dried fig producer.

  • In 40 g figs there is 240 mg potassium, a huge amount that is 7% of the daily consumption required for our bodies. 
  • The fig also contains calcium and iron. One fruit of dry figs has 20% of the fiber recommended for our body a day and some soluble fiber. Eating a fig gives a sense of satiety and helps to get out well thanks to the soluble fibers which - recommended for children. 
  • The fig has disinfectant properties and may prevent the development of fecal bacteria in E. coli and salmonella.
